Prawns, Pork and Passats is the kick-off event for the 2009 Wine Down Main Street. Jason McConnell, Chef/Owner of the famed Red Pony Restaurant in Franklin is cooking all the Gulf Coast favorites. Shrimp boil with all the trimmings and seasoned to perfection (shrimp, potatoes, corn), whole roasted pig, oyster shooters, garlic bread, bar-b-que and to finish the evening you’ll be served a New Orleans favorite: Banana’s Foster. If you’re thirsty, drinks provided by Abita Beer and what would a Wine Down Main Street event be without wine! Don’t forget, plenty of Passats, CCs, Jettas, Touregs, Eos and Beetles to go around! Proceeds from this event benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Franklin/Williamson County. |
