About Engage Green

Engage Green is a new initiative of Lightning 100’s Team Green to educate our listeners, Team Green members, and the general Nashville community about simple ways to make their lives greener. Engage Green will host a knowledgeable speaker(s) the first Tuesday of every month who will cover information and how-to topics that can be easily transferred into our daily lives in an informal, casual setting.

Each presentation will be interactive and allow discussion throughout. Some topics may include recycling, composting, rain gardens, rain water run-off, local food options, energy saving options, green organization forums, green business economic analysis, and sustainable practices. The Engage Green workshops will be free, non political, non-sales oriented and will focus on educating on the health, well being, environmental and economic benefits of reforming our personal habits in our personal environments in order to make a large impact through combined efforts. Each workshop will include a one hour presentation or demonstration followed by question/answer and time to engage with other participants.

Better yet, we will be hosting Engage Green in the Burton Health and Sciences Building at Lipscomb University, their greenest building!

No reservations needed. Open to the public.
