MISSION STATEMENT

The Student Health & Wellness Committee strives to support and optimize the health and wellness experiences of Vanderbilt’s diverse student population. The Committee’s work is highly collaborative with the primary offices and services of the Student Care Network. This year, we will be focused on understanding the complex issues that affect student wellbeing and developing programs based on identified needs, in order to help students live their healthiest lives.

CURRENT INITIATIVES

  • Bi-monthly resource recommendations through the Student Care Network Advisory Board
  • Recreation and Wellness Center group fitness classes at satellite locations on-campus
  • Partnership with the Come to Me Campaign

PAST INITIATIVES

  • #GoThere media campaigns
  • Providing resources for student reintegration following personal or medical leaves
  • Restructuring resource support for the HR/RA and VUceptor population
  • Commons Connect Program
  • Promotion of positive body image through collaboration with the Women’s Center
