PURPOSE
- Coordinate all VSG initiatives relating to economic inclusivity
- Serve as the primary liaison between VSG and Experience Vanderbilt
- Assist in any and all University and VSG initiatives regarding economic inclusivity, unless the aforementioned initiative has been specifically delegated to or taken up by another VSG committee
- Assist other committees in developing initiatives pertaining to financial barriers for students
- Organize all logistics associated with the Vanderbilt Student Leadership Awards including annual revisions to the award and establishment of award criteria
- Assist with expanding the Internship Transportation initiative, providing funding for students eligible for need-based financial assistance to get to their internships

The Office of Student Loans provides access to discounted Federal Loans for all undergraduate students, which allows for easier borrowing, lower interest rates, and more forgiving repayment compared to private or bank loans.

MANDATORY INSURANCE REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students that initially waived the student health insurance plan must enroll if they are planning on entering the United States at any point during the 2020-2021 academic year.

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FRESHMEN
Merit scholarships are given out to incoming first-year students despite any needed or lack-of financial assistance.
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM
VUSRP provides 10 weeks of full-time research under the mentorship of any full-time Vanderbilt faculty member (including VUMC). Undergraduate students are eligible for a $5000 stipend with some $6000 Littlejohn and Goldberg Fellow awards distributed. In 2019, 87 students out of 184 applicants (47%) received awards.
OFF CAMPUS QUARANTINE LIVING

THE PRODUCT CATALOG
The Product Catalog is a list of 101 software resources available for free or at a discounted price. This catalog contains software from a variety of vendors including Adobe, Microsoft, and ChemBioDraw, and is accessible to all students with a Vanderbilt username and password.
2021-2022 FAFSA & CSS PROFILE
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile are both tools in which your institution can assess your financial need. These two documents play a critical role in determining the amount of financial aid that you will receive for the next school year.
TRAVELING AROUND NASHVILLE
Vanderbilt offers many ways to travel to places around the University and the greater Nashville area for free. Vanderbilt’s partnership with WeGo Public Transit has made the use of WeGo local and regional buses free for Vanderbilt students. This is useful for students who want to visit places like the mall or a hiking trail without having to rely on paying for rideshares like Uber and Lyft.
