Vanderbilt Hillel was honored to be able to host New York based acapella group, The Maccabeats on campus for the weekend. The weekend started off with a one of a kind Shabbat service led by the singing group and was a truly remarkable experience for all who attended. The Maccabeats then joined students for our traditional and tasty Shabbat dinner, sharing stories and singing songs together until late. Saturday night, Havadalah was led by the Maccabeats and Vanderbilt Hillel was joined by graduate students and young alumni for a unique Bourbon tasting event.
The weekend concluded with a campus and community concert in Vanderbilt’s Langford Auditorium. Fans of all ages joined us to watch the incredible group take the stage and perform some of their greatest hits, including the always popular, “Candlelight.”
