Shwetha Narasimhan is a PhD candidate in the Cell and Developmental Biology Department at Vanderbilt, studying the actin cytoskeleton and its mechanobiological properties. She is passionate about science entrepreneurship and consulting. She revived the club in Jan 2019 as the co-President with Mohsin Rahim, with the vision of making the VUADCC the premier ADC consulting club on campus. In her spare time, she likes gardening, biking, enjoying the Nashville music scene and exploring world cuisines.

Thomas Beck is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics.  His research is focused on how small molecules affect glucose metabolism in transgenic mouse models. Recently, he led a team in developing a commercialization plan for a novel therapeutic winning runner-up in 2016 TechVenture Challenge.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing squash, discovering awesome indie and metal bands, and reading American literature.

Heng Dai is a PhD candidates in Biological Sciences Department. Her research focuses on understanding retinal physiology and functions. She is interested in pursuing career in management consulting, healthcare and life science industry. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, cooking and traveling.

Mohit Ganguly is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on understanding the interaction of infrared lasers with nerves. He is interested in consulting for the medical device technology industry. In his spare time, he likes to travel, cook, read or watch movies.

Oscar Ayala is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University. His research at the Biophotonics Center at Vanderbilt focuses on using Raman spectroscopy to characterize and identify bacteria that cause infectious diseases. Oscar is interested in strategic consulting for integrating technology commercialization and translation between research universities and hospital systems.

Yuan Xie is a M.S. candidate in the department of biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University. His research at Vanderbilt Imaging Institute Center focuses on using texture analysis to quantitatively characterize myositis. Yuan is interested in management consulting for corporate strategy as well as innovative consulting for technology commercialization.

Seema Sinha is a PhD candidate in the Department of Cancer Biology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research focuses on understanding how tumor cells metastasize. She is interested in life science strategy consulting and hope to run her own company someday. In her spare time, she enjoy traveling, reading and learning about different cultures and languages.

Huapeng is a ph.D student in the Department of Cancer Biology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research focuses on the cell biology of normal and cancerous tissues. Huapeng has lived in the US and China, he is also an avid traveler and photographer.

Jing Liu, Vice President of Technology 2015

Jing Liu is a fifth year graduate student in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research focuses on pancreas development and diabetes pathology. Jing is interested in a career in management consulting, especially in the healthcare section. In his spare time, Jing likes swimming, playing tennis and working out in the gym.

Miao He is a master student in the graduate program in economics development at Vanderbilt University. She has an interest in urbanization and impact evaluation. Prior to graduate school, she studied economics at Peking University. She also has working experience in NGO and private equity. Now, she is pursuing her career in consulting. In her spare time, she loves traveling and reading.
