The Career Carnival this past week, decorated with delicious popcorn delicacies and other treats, welcomed many impressive local Nashville professionals from various business industries. The Women in Business club president, Mary Win Anderson, explains why this was such a unique event, “We were able to bring in some business women from companies that WIB has not worked with before, providing unique opportunities to our members.” Each professional shared their expertise and personal advice with around fifty aspiring businesswomen, giving these students a strong foundation for entering an industry with the additional challenge of being predominantly male. Additionally, there was the opportunity to get a professional headshot taken—perfect for LinkedIn!
Overall, this organization is thrilled about the opportunities and heightened knowledge of the ever-expanding business world that this Career Carnival brought to Vanderbilt’s campus. We are excited to host many more networking events this year, such as the Woman to Watch event coming up this week, as well as hosting this event again next year!
