Each semester, VSVS hosts a variety of local outreach events and sends volunteers and kits to other science events around Nashville. In most cases, these events are VSVS assisting schools in planning and hosting afterschool STEM/STEAM Nights. Unlike the VSVS Local Classroom Program, volunteers may sign up for as many or as few events as they wish and event shifts are 1-4 hours depending on the event. VSVS still provides all content, materials, training, and transportation to anyone wishing to participate.
