About Us
The objectives of the Vanderbilt Programming Board is to sponsor, integrate, and provide social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities at Vanderbilt University, constantly evaluating these programs and assessing the needs of the Vanderbilt community to provide a more enjoyable and purposeful life for all members of the Vanderbilt community. Another objective is to encourage widespread participating in these programs and provide opportunities for all involved to gain experiences in responsibility, leadership, program planning, and program implementation. The six committees include: CityVU, Homecoming, Music Group, Late Night Programming, Speakers and Vandy Fanatics.
- CityVU offers Vanderbilt students opportunities to explore Nashville, TN. (Organization Advisor: Jaden Royal)
- Homecoming committee unites undergraduates, graduates, alumni, and the greater Nashville community under the umbrella of pride and excitement for Vanderbilt University. (Organization Advisor: Dwayne Elliott & Jayleigh Tawbush)
- The Music group oversees the planning and execution of a fall and spring concert that caters to both the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities. Rites of Spring has been a tradition at Vanderbilt since 1971. (Organization Advisor: Jaden Royal )
- Late Night Programming provides late-night, unique, interactive and fun programming events that are not normally offered to Vanderbilt’s campus. (Organization Advisor: Jaden Royal & Jayleigh Tawbush)
- The Speakers Committee’s goal is to enhance the quality of student life and the Vanderbilt educational experience by attracting and presenting distinguished speakers to the University. IMPACT Symposium has been a tradition at Vanderbilt since 1964. (Organization Advisor: Jayleigh Tawbush)
- Vandy Fanatics is dedicated to enhancing school spirit and providing opportunities to tailgate, receive Vanderbilt related sportswear, away game trips and support Vanderbilt Athletics. (Organization Advisor: Dwayne Elliott, Jayleigh Tawbush)
