Lindsey-headshot-211x300Rev. Lindsey Groves
Minister to Belmont and Vanderbilt Universities

I was born in our nation’s capital and lived in various cities in Florida but primarily grew up around the lakes, where I fell in love with rowing. Don’t hold it against me, but I rowed at the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville. A couple years later, after living and working in Colorado, a few good road trips, and some overseas backpacking, I went to seminary at Duke, where I focused on pastoral care, social issues and reformed worship. I have had a decade of great ministry experiences, including working with youth and young adults, at academies and camps, in hospitals, and learning with people living with HIV/AIDs, as well as worshipping with some wonderful Presbyterian churches. Most recently I finished a year working as a chaplain at a brand new children’s hospital, which gave me the hours and space to finish a certification for chaplaincy and pastoral counseling, while doing some pastoral supply work in my home church and presbytery. I am new to Nashville and look forward to knowing the city more! Feel free to reach out to me at

Emily Warren
Ministry Associate

Hey Y’all! My name is Emily Warren and I started serving UKirk as a Young Adult Volunteer intern in January 2014. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2011, I moved to Denver, Colorado with the YAV program and worked as an English teacher and employment-training specialist for a refugee resettlement agency. Now I’m back home in the south and exploring God’s call for my life in ministry. I’m so excited to be working with UKirk this year, and look forward to getting to know all of you this semester. I’m often available to grab coffee or lunch, so let me know your schedule and we’ll meet up!

Vicki Allen
Director of Operations

I’m Vicki Allen and I love being a part of the UKirk Nashville family! My husband and I came to middle Tennessee from Alabama over 20 years ago. Our two daughters (and multiple cats) have grown up here. So, while my college football allegiance will not falter (Roll Tide!) this place is home. Prior to coming to UKirk, I served in various operational and program management roles, directing children’s ministry and supporting educational programs, most recently at Belmont. Got questions or need help with anything? You can reach me at
