Rules & Policies

Ticketing & Entry
  • All attendees must have a valid ticket for entry.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • A valid Vanderbilt student ID is required for student tickets.
  • Guests must follow security screenings before entering the venue.
Permitted Items

Items Allowed into the Event:

  • Clear Plastic Bags: Each concertgoer may bring one clear plastic bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, or a one-gallon, clear, re-sealable plastic storage bag to facilitate security checks.
  • Small Clutch Purses: Attendees are permitted to bring a small clutch purse that does not exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches in size.
  • Blankets: Attendees may bring blankets for comfort; however, large blankets that obstruct views should be avoided.
Prohibited Items

To maintain a safe environment, the following items are not allowed:

  • Outside Food or Beverages (including alcohol):*No outside food or drinks are allowed to maintain safety and security.
  • Illegal Substances or Drug Paraphernalia: The possession of illegal drugs or any related items is strictly prohibited.
  • Weapons of Any Kind, Including Pocket Knives: All weapons, including firearms and knives, are not permitted on the premises.
  • Large Bags (over 12” x 12”) – Clear Bags Preferred: Bags larger than 12” x 12” are not allowed; clear bags are encouraged for security purposes.
  • Fireworks, Laser Pointers, or Airhorns: These items can pose safety risks and are prohibited. 
  • Items That Obstruct Views (Umbrellas, Chairs, Etc): Items that block the view of other attendees are not allowed.
  • No Backpacks: Backpacks are prohibited to streamline security checks and crowd movement.
  • No Glass Containers: To prevent injuries, glass containers (including bottles) are not allowed.
  • No Inflatables: Inflatables are not permitted due to safety concerns.
  • No Beach Balls: Beach balls can be distracting and are therefore prohibited.
  • No Video Cameras: Personal video cameras are not allowed to maintain the integrity of the event.
  • No GoPros: GoPros are prohibited unless prior permission is granted for specific purposes.
  • No Professional Photography Equipment (Unless you have an artist pass): Professional equipment is restricted to protect the experience of attendees and performers.
  • No Food or Drinks – other than approved items: Only items specified in the event guidelines are allowed.
  • NO PETS: For health and safety reasons, pets are not permitted at the event.
Code of Conduct

We are dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees. By attending this event, you agree to:

  • Show Respect: Treat all staff, artists, and fellow attendees with kindness and consideration.
  • Adhere to Policies: Follow all security and venue policies throughout the event.
  • Maintain Appropriate Behavior: Avoid disruptive actions, including excessive intoxication.
  • Promote Inclusivity: Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or hate speech.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in removal from the event without a refund.

Photography & Media
  • By attending, you consent to photos and videos being taken for promotional purposes.
  • Professional photography requires prior approval and press credentials.
Food & Beverage
  • Food vendors will be available inside the venue.
Safety & Medical Assistance

Your safety is our top priority. If you need medical assistance at any time during the event:

  • Lifelight Medical Services will be on-site to provide immediate medical care.
  • Medical tents will be clearly marked and staffed with trained professionals.
  • If you or someone around you needs help, alert event staff, security, or head to a medical tent immediately.

Weather Policy
  • Rites of Spring is a rain-or-shine event.
  • In the event of severe weather, updates will be posted on social media and announced on-site.
Parking & Transportation
  • Limited parking is available near the venue. Carpooling, biking, or rideshare services are encouraged.
  • Attendees are responsible for following all Vanderbilt campus parking regulations.
