New Life Dialogue Meetings
Vanderbilt Prison Project and Vanderbilt Education on the Inside are convening a space for students and Nashvillians to come together to discuss pressing issues and systemic injustices that dictate inequality in the present day, specifically for incarcerated people. We will have lots of food, good discussion, and anyone with an interest in seeing a better tomorrow is invited to come!

Reimagining Reintegration
We’ve had a series of collaborations with some of the men who have been positively impacted by their time at the Dismas House who are advocating for new ways to encourage reform and decrease recidivism after incarceration. These are an opportunity to learn about their work, effective policy around reducing recidivism, and get involved with their activism.
Letter Writing Campaigns
Vanderbilt Prison Project often hosts letter writing campaigns to ensure student voices are heard in our advocacy. We have done letter writing for everything from advocating for the release of people who are currently incarcerated to opposing proposed laws in the Tennessee Legislature. These events require a low level of commitment but together can be highly impactful.
