Vanderbilt Motorsports is going electric for the first time in its existence. The team has been hard at work for the past two semesters getting ready for the competition in the summer of 2019. VU motorsports is one of 30 teams competing at the SAE International in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The move to electric has presented many new challenges that our teams have been tackling. New challenges include system design, battery management, and HV safety and assembly. These new challenges provide new learning opportunities to everyone and especially to our electrical engineers.
