A. President: Jon
a. Update on finding a speaker for GSRD

b. Reminder about bus program
– Steve is still working on formal approval for the program, although we currently can ride it free
– If you know anyone who is having issues/being charged, please contact Jon so he and Steve can figure out where the kinks are
c. Update on getting meal plan for graduate students
– Jon talked to faculty, they were contacted by Dining Services, not the other way around
– Try to get feedback of how many faculty actually use it?
– Price has risen from $5/meal to $7/meal
– If you’re interested, contact VanderbiltDining@vanderbilt.edu to show that there’s interest
B. Vice President of Academic Affairs: Molly
a. Update on planning for next year’s GSRD
i. Potential dates for GSRD 2009: Monday, Jan. 12th or Monday, March 30th
ii. Forming an Advisory panel of faculty members

b. Update graduate student orientation

c. T-shirts for sale: $5/each. First VU graduate student shirt in history.
D. Vice President of Community Affairs: Kimberly
a. Explanation of position
– Plan community events
– Foster communication with other graduate/professional groups on campus
b. Possible summer service events
– July – Ronald McDonald house dinner – bring food, prepare and serve
– September – Hands On Nashville (9/27?), work in repairing Metro schools
– Email Kim with suggestions for other service events
E. Treasurer: Samrat
a. Budget update
– $21,000 for the coming year – a whole $1000 more!
F. Secretary: Laura
– Let Laura know if you are a new department rep/aren’t going to be a rep for the coming year
– Help work on the wiki! Would like to get done by August
G. Honor Council President: Jonathan
– Two cases in the queue from spring semester
– Normally don’t do cases in the summer, but if there are enough people on campus we might handle the cases this summer
– Email Jonathan if you’re available to investigate or serve on the honor council
H. Webmaster: Alli
– Email Alli for wiki editing privileges if you want to help
