2018 Vanderbilt China Forum: Unlocking the Current State of China

The Vanderbilt China Forum is a one-day event that provides both Vanderbilt students and faculty a platform to engage in intellectual dialogues related to China. The goal of Vanderbilt Global China Connection is to build a professional network with people from different disciplines and industries but with the same interest in working with China.

In this forum, we bring in 5 speakers in politics, Chinese philosophy, education, and media to talk about the rapidly evolving Chinese society and Chinese market. In addition to this four interactive talks and panels, we will also presenting three career panels featuring 12 young professionals during the luncheon time. The three panels are policy & law, tech, and entrepreneurship. Our speakers and young professionals are diverse in their nationality, gender, ethnicity, personal experience, and current location of working. However, the one theme that link them all is their cross cultural intellectual experience between the U.S. and China.

With cosponsorship with more than twenty on campus departments and student organizations, and with five other distinguished universities as our marketing partners such as Emory and Duke, we are presenting a day of intellectually stimulating discussion and a diverse community of future leaders in U.S.-China relations.
