The Varsity Women’s 8+ before getting ready to race
On April 2nd and 3rd the Varsity Women’s 8+ raced in the 43rd San Diego Crew Classic. Over 117 teams were present for this prestigious regatta and this was the first time the Varsity Women’s 8+ had ever competed in the Crew Classic. The women competed in the Division 2/Division 3/Club race and on Saturday they placed fourth in their heat, earning them a spot in the Grand Final Sunday morning, where they placed seventh! The women had a great time in Southern California representing Vanderbilt at the San Diego Crew Classic. It was a weekend full of fun racing and great weather!
