On the weekend of May 1st, the Varsity Women’s 8+ travel to Batavia, Ohio to compete at MACRA (Mid-American Collegiate Rowing Association) Regatta for the first time. Sunday, race day, was supposed to be filled with bad weather, but turned out to be a beautiful day for racing. In the morning, the women placed fourth in their heat with a time of 7:29.5, qualifying them for the Grand Final. In the afternoon, they improved their time and placed sixth in the Grand Final with a time of 7:19.6. Overall, it was a great day of racing for the Varsity Women’s 8+!
